DESIGN. BUILD. ADDITION. RENOVATION
OUR PROCESS:
Each project is unique and has its own style, potential and challenges. At the same time, all projects can be well planned for so that they are as organized, clean and efficient as possible. We take an approach that helps us do that planning in order to not only deliver your desired outcome, but to do it in a way that is as transparent as possible and to the highest standards of quality.
1. Pre-Construction Planning
The very first step with any project, no matter how big or small is a design concept.
The way we tackle this is with a set of plans that show spatial layouts with true to life dimensions of your home. This often requires one of our team members to come out and measure up your living space or lot and create what is called an "As-Built" or "Site" plan.
Once this information is captured and put into our design software we can then begin the design process.
If you know exactly what you are looking to achieve on your project, great! We find that many of our customers are looking for a little help in this area. We will provide a couple of different structural and or millwork design concepts to start things off and from there, we can pick a direction and fine tune the project.

2. Plan Set
After all of the details have been accounted for and outlined, we will draft a set of construction plans for submittal to engineering and ultimately the building department.
These plans are the "instructions" for how the building or project is to be built. Capital Building Construction drafts these plan in house and works closely with local structural engineers to produce a high quality set. The plans will get stamped by the structural engineer and once they are, they will be submitted to the building department for review and approval.

3. Build
Construction begins! Our standards of craftsmanship, respectfulness and efficiency, are something you wont be able to find elsewhere. We take the utmost pride in our work and for that reason we only use well qualified in-house labor and reputable, licensed and insured sub-contractors. We manage the entire project and keep you informed the whole way through.
